Earlier this week, we were delighted to host our ‘Canada: Know Before You Go’ webinar in partnership with I/CAN (The Eamonn O’Loghlin Irish Canadian Immigration Centre). Building on the success of our previous pre-departure joint information sessions on going to Toronto and Vancouver last year, this webinar aimed to provide essential insights for Irish citizens planning a move to Canada on an International Experience Canada (IEC) visa. ‘Canada: Know Before You Go’ exemplified our commitment to diaspora support by equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence needed for a successful transition to Canada.

We were honoured to be joined by our colleagues at I/CAN, Cathy Murphy (Executive Director) and Gillian Goulding (National Social Care Advisor), who offered their expertise in immigration, employment, healthcare, wellness supports, and more. Our sincere thanks to them for sharing these valuable insights – you can learn more about I/CAN’s invaluable services for Irish people across Canada, particularly those on the IEC, here. You can also visit their website, www.irishcdn.org, which has extensive Canada-related resources and instructions on how to get in touch.

A special thank you to all who attended for their engagement and thoughtful questions! We hope you found the session useful in your planning – remember, we are always here to support you. Check out our leaving Ireland hub, which has loads of information to support Irish preparing to move or living abroad.
