Welcome! We trust that you will find useful information here to assist you in supporting Irish citizens wherever you are in the world. Our hope is that by working together we can help Irish citizens to make informed choices about their migration, and make it easier for them successfully settle abroad  or return home to Ireland. We strongly believe that collaboration creates opportunities to share best practices and deepens connection amongst the Irish diaspora.

How We Can Help

General Information
If you are aware of someone who would benefit from general information about returning to Ireland, you can share our contact details in order for them to contact us or please feel free to share our resources. The Returning to Ireland section of our website is a good place to start.

Complex Cases
For complex cases, please contact us directly with further details as we can review the case and offer specific information based on presenting needs. Complete our ‘Get Help’ contact form by selecting ‘Looking for someone else’ and providing further details. This page also provides an overview of what services we are able to provide to Irish citizens.

Outreach
We are keen to expand our Irish diaspora networks by growing our connections with established or nascent groups in emerging destinations for Irish emigrants. If you are part of an Irish group abroad and you would like to be listed in our Irish Diaspora Directory, or you would like to work together, please do get in touch! Our dedicated Policy and Outreach Officer or another member of our team would be happy to discuss collaborative opportunities.

Training

We provide capacity-building training on supporting returning Irish citizens to our peer organisations abroad. This includes Emigrant Support Programme funding recipients. Depending on where you are located, we can facilitate these in-person or remotely with front-line workers or directly with groups of prospective emigrants and returnees.

Previous sessions include training for members of the Irish in Britain and Coalition of Irish Immigration Centers around social welfare payments, immigration permissions for non-Irish family, supporting people returning in crisis, and much more. For training requests and enquiries, please complete our training form.
